Judy Gail Williams

Mrs. Judy Gail Williams, age 59, of 431 Clearwater Street Rockmart passed away Friday, April 11th in Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center, Dallas following a lengthy illness.


She was born in Rome, GA on June 1, 1948 a daughter of John Harrison Hooper and Lillian Lucille Dean Hooper. Mrs. Williams had lived all of her life in Rockmart where she was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church and was a retired employee of Engineered Fabrics Corporation. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Mr. J.E. Hooper.


Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Tina Cruz, Rome and Mrs. Linda Crete, Rockmart; one son, Senior Master Sgt. Craton Leon Williams, Jr. and his wife Master Sgt. Tina Williams, LasVegas, NV; three sisters: Mrs. Edna Phillips, Thomason, GA , Mrs. Sue Maxwell, Douglasville, GA and Mrs. Mira Carter, Rockmart; three grandchildren: Hallie Crete, Caitlin Crete and Selena Cruz; a number of nieces and a nephew also survive.


Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 13th at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Hooper officiating and eulogies delivered by family. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Gerardo Cruz, Joe Hooper, Damon Crete, Dereck Stephenson, James Barron and Andy Phillips.


The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
