Kathy P. Aiken

Mrs. Kathy P. Aiken, age 87, of Aragon, GA, passed away Thursday morning, June 19, 2025, at her residence.

Mrs. Aiken was born on March 14, 1938, the daughter of the late Tom Pittman and Gladys Clinton Pittman. She lived her entire life in Aragon and was a devoted member of Fairview Baptist Church. Mrs. Aiken retired from Goodyear Mill after many years of dedicated service. She had a passion for working in her yard, loved to dance, and treasured every moment spent with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Aiken was preceded in death by her husband, William “Sonny” Aiken; brothers, John Pittman, Dude Pittman, and Larry Pittman; a sister, Amy Brown; brother-in-law, Jimmy Long; and sister-in-law, Fran Pittman.

Mrs. Aiken is survived by two sons, Scott Aiken and Jerry Aiken; five grandchildren, Ashley Aiken, Mindy Moore (Shea), Ty Aiken, Cody Kinard (Brooke), and Krista West (Jesse); nine great-grandchildren, Jonathan Moore, Maci Moore, Hannah Aiken, Laynee Aiken, Allie Bowman, Abbie West, Anna West, Aspen West, and Madeline Kinard; sisters, Penney Long, Jane Platt (Bob), and Trish Motes (Randy); brother-in-law, Rick Brown (Carmelita); sister-in-law, Sadie Pittman. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Aiken will be held on Sunday afternoon, June 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in Aragon Cemetery.

Mrs. Aiken’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home on Saturday evening, June 21, 2025, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Ty Aiken, Jonathan Moore, Greg Motes, Michael Brown, Brian Long, and Zach Long. Honorary pallbearers will include Ashley Aiken, Bob Platt, David Pittman, Randy Motes, Rick Brown, Tommy Long, Cody Kinard, Rob Platt, John Platt, and Steve Brumbelow.
