James Kenneth Jones

James Kenneth Jones, born on July 26, 1961, passed away Friday evening, January 16, 2026, surrounded by family and love.

Kenneth was the beloved husband of Kim Jones and a devoted father to Kimberly Jones, Casey (Brittany) Jones, and Kayla (Joey) LeFurgey. He was a proud grandfather to Drew Roberson, Bradley Roberson, Paisley Jones, Bentley Jones, Elijah LeFurgey, River LeFurgey, Maverick LeFurgey, and Madelyn LeFurgey. His grandchildren were a great joy in his life and brought him endless pride and happiness.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn Jones and K.C. Jones and grandchildren Mackenzie and Blakeliegh LeFurgey.

He is also survived by his sisters, Lisa Milam and Lucille Byess, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.

Kenneth will be remembered for his love of family, his steady presence, and the way he showed up for those he cared about. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the family he cherished.

Funeral services for Mr. Jones will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Edwards and Rev. Michael Jack Goss officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Joey LeFergy, Terry James, Timothy Waits, Frankie Matthews, Wess LeFergy, Timothy Gilbert, Drew Roberson, and Tyler Dodd. Honorary pallbearers will include Bradley Roberson, Bentley Jones, Elijah LeFergy, River LeFergy, Maverick LeFergy.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
