Kenneth Thompson

Mr. Kenneth Thompson, age 73, of Rockmart passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at his residence following a lengthy illness.


He was born in Pineville, Kentucky on March 2, 1939 a son of the late Willie Thompson and Mossie Miracle Thompson.


Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marie Thompson of Rockmart to whom he was married on March 12, 1960
; five sons: Troy Thompson, Rockmart, Bill Thompson, Bryan, OH, Andy Thompson, Monroe, GA, Tracy Thompson, Bryan, OH and Ken Thompson, Bryan, OH; a brother, Cliff of Saint Marys, OH; three sisters: Jean of Troy, OH, Willine of Wapakoneta, OH and Virginia of New Knoxville, OH; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren also survive.


A Requiem Mass will be held by Father Danel, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery, Cedartown.


Troy, Bill, Andy, Tracy, Ken, Britt and Cole Thompson will serve as pallbearers.


The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Kenneth Thompson.
