Kittie Davitte Williams

Mrs. Kittie Davitte Williams, age 79, of Rockmart passed away suddenly Wednesday, January 15, 2014.

She was born in Kingston, GA on August 20, 1934 a daughter of the late William Harvey Murphy and Maggie Jewel Greene Murphy. “Ms Kittie” as she was affectionately known had been a resident of Rockmart since the early 1950’s. She was a member of the Rockmart First United Methodist Church and was a self employed accountant serving the Rockmart and Aragon area for many years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, T.K. Davitte, Sr., by a son, Lester Ellis Davitte ; by her second husband William Roland Williams; by a sister, Marie Holcomb and two brothers: Buddy Murphy and Pat Murphy.

Survivors include a son, Alan Davitte and his wife Rhonda of Cartersville and grandchildren: Bryson Davitte, Hope, Colby and Chae Singleton.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2014 in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeanette Dickens officiating.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
