Laron Edward Forrister

Mr. Laron Edward Forrister, age 53, of 435 Lumpkin Road Cedartown passed away Thursday, December 24, 2009 in a Rome Medical Center following a four year illness.


Laron was born in Cedartown, GA on July 15, 1956 a son of Dewie E. Forrister and Glenda Nell Boothe Forrister. He had lived all of his life in the Cedartown area , attended Cedartown High School and loved to hunt and fish. Laron had also served in the U.S. Navy and had worked as a carpenter, truck driver and a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Donna Lynn Forrister on July 13, 2000.


Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Lilly, Rossville, GA; two grandsons: Adam and Alex Lilly, Rossville, GA parents: Dewie and Glenda Forrister, Cedartown; sister, Renee Forrister, Cedartown; brother, Lonnie Forrister, Cedartown; grandmother, Emily Goodwin, Cedartown; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.


Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. in Polk Memory Gardens with Minister Alvis Miller officiating.


Pallbearers will include: Sam McClain, Wesley Shanks, David Lilly and Lonnie Forrister.


The family will receive friends Sunday from 1p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
