Mr. Larry Eugene Bolt, age 78, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Larry was born in Rome, GA, on June 11, 1948, the son of the late David Cotis Bolt and Annice Mamie Hill Bolt. He spent the greater part of his life in Rockmart and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Larry honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. He was also a dedicated member of the American Legion, where he faithfully served as a former Commander. Larry spent many years as a butcher with Casey's Foods before retiring. Never one to sit still, he later enjoyed working at Triangle Grocery, where he continued to greet friends and customers with his familiar smile.

Larry found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He dearly loved his dog, Charlie, treasured the companionship of his good friend, David, and enjoyed traveling, spending time on the golf course, and fishing whenever he had the opportunity.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Gibson Bolt, and grandmother, Elsie Freeman.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Melissa Bolt; son, Scott Ferguson; two step-daughters, Stephanie Cabe (Chris), and Cassie Tilley (Derrick); granddaughter, Larissa Bolt; step-grandchildren, Tyler Cabe, Ashley Cabe, Tana Hulsey, Lauren Tilley, and Maddie Tilley; first wife, Gail Bolt; sister, Cora Smith. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Larry will be held on Wednesday afternoon, July15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Father Kemper Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with Brown-Wright Post #12 American Legion Honor Guard conferring military rites.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
