Linda Shanks Summerville Broster

Mrs. Linda Shanks Summerville, Broster, age 73, of Atlanta, GA, passed away Monday evening, July 8, 2024.

Linda was born in Cedartown, GA, on November 17, 1950, a daughter of the late William David “W.D.” Shanks and Janie Charlene Holland Shanks. She had lived the greater part of her life in Atlanta and was a housewife and homemaker. Linda was very crafty and loved to cook. She also had a love of music and was always a giver.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Broster, a daughter, Dawn Summerville, a son, Bryan Summerville, and a grandson, Dustin Barber.

Linda is survived by a son, Mika’EL YisraEL (EliYahna) of Lithia Springs, GA; a daughter, Jamie Summerville Aaron (Jeff) of Canton, GA; granddaughters, Ashley Davis, Crystal (Casey) Childers; grandsons, Miguel Wimby, Mika’EL YisraEL, Jr., and Zachary Barber; sisters, Kathy Williams and Wendy Evans; brothers, David (Joyce) Shanks, and Jimmy Shanks. Several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Linda will be held on Thursday afternoon, July 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with eulogies provided by the family, hosted by EliYahna YisraEL. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens.

Linda’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Thursday from 12;00 noon until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Miguel Wimby, Mika'EL YisraEL, Wesley Michael William, Jr., Reginald Ward, Demarquis Ward, and Richard Taylor.
