Mrs. Linda Sullivan Goodson, age 70, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Thursday evening, June 18, 2026, at her residence.

Linda was born in Douglasville, Georgia, on March 18, 1956, daughter of the late Rev. Emmett Sullivan and Sally Wadsworth Sullivan. A lifelong resident of Northwest Georgia, she devoted more than 28 years of compassionate service as a registered nurse at Wellstar Hospital, caring for countless patients and families throughout her career.

Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved traveling to the mountains, working puzzle books, reading a good book, and spending quiet moments playing solitaire. Above all, she was a woman of Christian faith whose greatest happiness came from the time she shared with her family.

Linda is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Keith Goodson, whom she married on July 17, 1976; son, Shannon Goodson (Lydia); four grandchildren, Casin Goodson (Kaylee), Payton Goodson, Allie Goodson, and Emma Goodson; great-grandson, Coltin Goodson; sisters, Virginia Sullivan and Shelba Cothran (Larry); brothers, Tony Sullivan, Ricky Sullivan (Edna), and Rev. Sam Sullivan. A number of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In keeping with her wishes, Linda will be cremated and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Tuesday evening, June 23, 2026, at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

The family has respectively requested that flowers be omitted, and memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Mrs. Goodson.
