Mrs. Lynn Carlton, age 72, or Taylorsville, GA, passed away Friday morning, July 31, 2026.

Lynn was born in Cedartown, GA, on December 18, 1953, the daughter of the late Clinton Taylor Cagle and the late Frances Williams Cagle. She spent the greater part of her life in Taylorsville and was a member of Floyd Creek Baptist Church.

Lynn enjoyed time spent crocheting blankets, sewing, tending to her garden, canning vegetables, tending to her chickens, and simply spending time with her children and grandchildren. She taught her family by example of what it meant to work hard, love generously, and to trust God through every season of life. She was a retired Special Education Paraprofessional where she dedicated 30 years to Bartow County School System. Her life was one of faith, perseverance, generosity, and unconditional love. She leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire the generations of her family for years to come.

In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by a niece, Kristi Kirby.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Lee (Darrell); her son, Todd Carlton (Kerri); 4 grandchildren, Jesse Lee, Jordan Lee, Ansley McCullough (Blake), and Austyn Robinson; 1 great-grandson, Casey McCullough; and 1 sister, Sheryl Abernathy (Robert). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Lynn will be held Monday, August 3rd, 2026 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Dowdy officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 pm until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Rick Davis, Kenny Davis, Jason Payne, and Kevin Abernathy.
