Margaret Katherine Sisson

Mrs. Margaret Katherine Sisson, age 82, of Aragon, GA passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 after an extended illness.

She was born in Floyd County, GA on June 28, 1932, a daughter of the late Pat Roberson and Doanie Ernest Roberson. Mrs. Sisson had lived the greater part of her life in Polk and Floyd Counties where she was a member of the Damascus Baptist Church. She retired from Greenwood Mills in Lindale after many years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn H. Sisson on April 13, 2000, and six brothers and sisters.

Survivors include six children: Carolyn Womack of Rockmart, Joyce Dunn and her husband Whit of Rockmart, Ricky Sisson and his wife Racheal of Aragon, Carlton Sisson and his wife Peggy of Cedartown, Jeannie Wolfe of Aragon, and William Sisson of Aragon; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Rachel Roberson and Glenda Perren, both of Silver Creek; three brothers: Clyde Roberson and Bobby Roberson, both of Aragon, and Cliff Roberson of Cartersville.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 4 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with Rev. Ladell Jacobs and Rev. Greg Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Glen Womack, Donald Sullivan, Lamar Sisson, Jason Sisson, Scott Wolfe and Jacob Brumbelow. Honorary pallbearers will include: Jodie Mullins and Ryan Womack.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 9 PM at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
