Margie Brand

Ms. Margie Brand, age 50, of Aragon, GA passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in a Rome medical center.

Margie was born in Cedartown, GA on July 22, 1963 a daughter of the late Herschel C. Brand and Lottie Garrett Brand. She had lived all of her life in Polk County, was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Summerville.

Survivors include her lifetime companion, Vernon Waddell, Jr., Aragon; four sisters: Linda Duke, Rome, Betty Waddell, Aragon, Eva Waddell, Cedar Bluff, AL and Regina Peek, Rockmart; four brothers: Herman Brand, Rockmart, Ray Brand, Cedartown, Malcom Brand, Brunswick and Johnny Brand, Silver Creek; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p. m..

Memorial services will be arranged at a later date.
