Marveen Hulsey Roberson

Mrs. Marveen Hulsey Roberson, age 85, of Bellview Road Rockmart, GA passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 in a Cedartown Health Care Center.


She was born in Paulding County, GA on November 10, 1925 a daughter of the late Miles and Berma Hulsey. Mrs. Roberson had been a resident of Polk County the greater part of her life and she was of the Baptist faith. She was a former employee of E-Z Mills of Cartersville. Mrs. Roberson was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Smith and a grandson, Scotty Roberson.


Survivors include her husband, Calvin E. Roberson, Sr. of Rockmart to whom she was married on April 5, 1964; two daughters: Patricia Stewart and Diane Morgan both of Rockmart; three sons: Larry Patterson and Harry Patterson both of Rockmart and Calvin E. Roberson, Jr., Griffin; two sisters: Inez Griggs, Rockmart and Doris Waters, Fayetteville; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will include: Larry Patterson, Jr., Jimmy Griggs, Phil Griggs, Timmy Waits, Charles Carter and Rudy Hindmon, Jr..

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
