Michael Vaughn Robinson

Mr. Michael Vaughn Robinson, age 72, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025 at his residence.

He was born in Atlanta, GA on June 12, 1952 a son of Arthur Lamar Robinson and Marion Wright Robinson.  Michael had lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart and attended Rockmart High School.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where he attained the rank of Sergeant and served during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and had worked as a self employed brick mason. Michael enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family.  

In addition to his father and mother he was preceded in death by his step father, Bo Womack and by a daughter, Jenifer Jacobs.

Survivors include his wife, Renae McAlister Robinson to whom he was married on June 2, 1981; two daughters: Stacy Edge and Amie Robinson; brother, Lamar Robinson; sister, Lisa Wolfe and  five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Levi Wyatt officiating.  Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery with the Honor Guard of Brown-Wright Post # 12 of the American Legion providing military rites.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at the Calvary Baptist Church.
