Mildred Janet Dover

Mrs. Mildred Janet Dover, age 80, of Aragon, GA passed away Friday, April 3, 2015 at her residence.

She was born in Bartow County, GA on September 2, 1934 a daughter of Willis A. Gentry and Lois Marie Cagle Gentry. Mrs. Dover had been a resident of Polk County since 1951 and was a member of the Euharlee Baptist Church. She was a former employee of the Aragon Mill and had worked as a beautician in many of the local shops and her own home beauty shop for thirty years. Mrs. Dover was preceded in death by her parents, by a brother Bobby Lee Gentry in 2005 and a sister Mary Evelyn Morris in 2000.

Survivors include her husband of over 63 years, Mr. Ralph William Dover, Sr., Aragon to whom she was married on September 21, 1951; one son, Ralph W. "Ricky" Dover, Jr. and wife Angie, Aragon; step mother, Sally Ruth Gentry, Taylorsville; two half sisters: Carol Sue Sullivan, Cartersville and Willine Ward, Taylorsville; one half brother, Wayne Gentry, Taylorsville; four grandchildren and three step granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Stevie Wadddell officiating. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Jerry Dover, Jr., Gary Dover, Ryan Dover, Reid W. Dover, Justin R. Dover and Ricky Wesley Dover,

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
