Mira Carter

Mrs. Mira Carter, age 57, of Zuker Road Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 following complications of recent surgery.


She was born in Rockmart, GA on March 14, 1954 a daughter of the late John Harrison Hooper and Lillian Lucille Dean Hooper. Mira was a 1972 graduate of Rockmart High School and was an honors graduate of Coosa Valley Tech. She was a member of the Bellview Baptist Church and was a former employee of Murata Electronics. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by a brother, J.E. Hooper and by two sisters, Judy Hooper and Edna Phillips.


Survivors include her husband, Mr. Mike Carter of Rockmart to whom she was married on June 3, 1972; daughters: Michelle Khan and husband Shawn, Cartersville and Cheryl Sayed and husband Abby, Rockmart; adopted daughter, Michelle Wright and husband Josh, Silver Creek; sister, Sue Maxwell, Douglasville; seven grandchildren and numerous heart children and friends.


Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Bellview Baptist Church with Rev. Homer Hulsey and Rev. Owen (Bud) Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Shawn Khan, Abby Sayed,Josh Wright, Collin Williams,Brian Moon and George Earwood.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
