Ola Elizabeth Pilgrim

Mrs. Ola Elizabeth Pilgrim, age 75, of Rockmart, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 at her residence following a lengthy illness.


She was born in Aragon, GA on February 17, 1937 a daughter of the late James Riley Robinson and Annie Ruth Cash Robinson. Mrs. Pilgrim was a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church and a former employee of the Aragon Mill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyce Edward Pilgrim in 2009; by two daughters: Sharon Holbrook in 2004 and Barbara Mosley in 2006; by three brothers: Richard Robinson, Steve Robinson and Vernon Robinson and a sister, Lela Mae Williams.


Survivors include two daughters: Donna Pilgrim Waits, Buchanan and Nancy Sue Smith, Rockmart; two sons: Floyd Edward Pilgrim, Rockmart and Jimmy Lee Pilgrim, Rockmart; two sisters: Shelvie Roach, Aragon and Juanita Williams, Aragon; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive.


Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Archie Streetman, Rev. Charles Sutton and Rev. Greg Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Michael Mosley, Steven Mosley, Justin Brock, Brian Pilgrim, Jonathan Waits and Brandon Lindsey.


The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
