Patricia Ann Cordle

Mrs. Patricia A. Cordle, age 69, of 735 Old Rome Road Aragon, GA passed away Saturday, Noveber 29, 2008 at her residence follwing a lengthy illness.

She was born in Chavies, Alabama on January 28, 1939 a daughter of the late Lofton Jerome Williams and Jewell Everett Williams. Mrs. Cordle was a 1957 graduate of Trion High School and served as the Salutotorian of her graduating class. She had been a resident of Polk County since 1967 moving here from Atlanta. Mrs. Cordle was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Roger Cordle on October 31, 2008.

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Jimmy Cordle of Aragon to whom she was married on August 9, 1957; two daughters: Mrs. Pam C. Johnson, Aragon and Mrs. Melissa A. Lewis of Rockmart; one son: Mr. Tim Cordle, Cumming; one sister, Mrs. Wanda Williams, Chattanooga, TN; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Hooper and Rev. Alan Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Jack Lewis, Zackery Lewis, Benjamin Lewis, Andrew Cordle, Tim Cordle and Justin Payne.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
