Patricia Gail Coker, age 80, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Monday evening, March 11, 2024.

Patricia was born in Rome, GA, on August 28, 1943, daughter of the late Charlie Wofford Coker and Gertrude Frances Swift Coker.  She had lived all her life in Polk County and was a 1962 graduate of Rockmart High School.  Patricia worked from 1963 until 1968 with American General Insurance.  In 1968 she started working with Floyd Medical Center in the pharmacy and retired after 35 years of service.  Patricia was a member of Bellview Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir, sang in quartets (Christian Aires and Southern Echoes) and was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis Eugene Coker and Jerry Wofford Coker.

Patricia is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins along with a special friend, Betty Dodd.

Funeral services for Patricia will be Thursday afternoon, March 14, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Swift officiating.  Melton Moss will deliver the eulogy.  Interment will follow in Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery.

Patricia’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will include Leon Cook, Wayne Purser, James Portwood, Pat McDonald, Nigel Campbell, and Lantz Campbell.  Roy Lee Crumbley will serve as honorary pallbearer.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Bellview Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of the arrangements for Patricia Gail Coker.
