Patricia Marjean Martin, age 80, of Hiram, GA, passed away Sunday evening, August 23, 2026.

Patricia was born in Rome, GA, on February 12, 1946, daughter of the late James Alson Hyde and Jamie Lou Gamel Hyde. She had lived most of her life in Rockmart and Paulding County and was a graduate of Paulding High School. Patricia was a longtime member of New Liberty Baptist Church.

For more than 30 years, Patricia worked with EAM Textiles, and prior to her retirement, she served as the dining room manager at Captain D’s Seafood. She took great pride in her work and in the many relationships she built throughout the years.

Outside of work, Patricia found joy in the simple things she loved. She enjoyed knitting and baking delicious cakes, always sharing her talents with those around her. Above all, Patricia treasured her family, and her grandchildren held a very special place in her heart. The time she spent loving, encouraging, and making memories with them was among her greatest joys.

Patricia will be remembered for her caring heart, her giving spirit, and the love she had for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, especially her cherished grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by a daughter, Patricia Freeman (Richie Hulsey); son, Daniel Matthew Ross, Jr. (Crystal); two granddaughters, Jessica Ross and Kelli Freeman; grandson, Cody Ross. Several cousins and friends also survive.

In keeping with her wishes, Patricia will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
