Pauline Gaulding

Mrs. Pauline Gaulding, age 84, of 815 Forrest Ave., Rockmart passed away Wednesday May 6, 2009 at her residence following a lengthy illness.


She was born in Floyd County, GA on December 24, 1924 a daughter of the late Bert and Ollie Mae Coheley Hesler. Mrs. Gaulding had been a resident of Rockmart for the past 58 years moving here from Cedartown. She was a member of the Mount Zion East Baptist Church of Haralson County where she served as the church pianist for many years. She was a member of the Rockmart-Aragon Rebecca Lodge # 28 Order of the Odd Fellows for 40 years and twice served as Grand Noble. Mrs. Gaulding retired in 1968 from the Rockmart-Aragon Hospital where she worked for 15 years as a Licensed Pratical Nurse. Following retirement from nursing she worked at home as a seamstress. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. B.J. Gaulding in 1972 three brothers and one sister.


Survivors include a daughter, Ms Susan Clemons, Rockmart; a son, Mr. Brownie Gaulding and wife Deborah of Rockmart; one sister, Mrs. Irene McClarty, Jasper, GA; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.


Memorial graveside and interment services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Northview Cemetery of Cedartown with Rev. Reginald Campbell officiating.


Those attending the memorial service are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
