Randy Cole

Mr. Randy Cole, age 58, of Rockmart passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 in a Rome medical center.


He was born in Rockmart on April 20, 1953 a son of Velma Sorrells Cole and the late Alfred Cole. Randy had lived in Rockmart the greater part of his life where he attended Rockmart High School and was a former employee of J.L. Lester & Son Wholesale Grocers.


Survivors include a son, Matthew Cole, Rome; mother, Velma Cole, Rockmart; sister, Patsy Williams, Rockmart; two brothers: Larry Cole and Ricky Cole both of Rockmart; a number of cousins also survive.


Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & son Funeral Home with Rev. Royce Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Danny Waddell, Johnny Coker, Scott Wessell, Hayden Wessell, Michael Loveless and Cecil Williams.


The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
