Randy Goss

Mr. Randy Goss, age 62, of Rockmart, GA passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Randy was born in Rome, GA on October 20, 1954 a son of the late William Edward (Bodie) Goss and the late Lillian Imogene Chandler Goss. He had lived all of his life in the Rockmart-Aragon area and was a 1972 graduate of Rockmart High School. He was a partner in Goss Brothers Trucking Company for thirty four years. Randy was a classic car collector, especially corvettes. He enjoyed attending car shows and cruises and also enjoyed hunting. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Gene Goss.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Barbara Brown Goss; son, Guy Mears; daughter, Season Goss; six grandchildren; brother, Eddie Goss (Sandra), all of Rockmart and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Stevie Waddell officiating. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: Danny Stanford, Danny Ferguson, Walter (Mac) McNabb, Jeff Woodall, Mike Shanks and Tony Stephens. Honorary pallbearers will include: William (Billy) Chandler, Terry Brumbelow, Keith Owens, Larry Waters, Jason Ruff, Jason Suits, Mike Brown, Steven Wigley, and Jamie Nichols.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 9 pm at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
