Rayford Lewis (Tommy) Deems

Mr. Rayford Lewis (Tommy) Deems, age 70, of Cedartown, GA passed away Friday, March 25, 2022.

He was born in Polk County, GA on December 21, 1951 a son of the late Ralph Lewis Deems and the late Clara Mae Ely Deems. Tommy had lived all of his life in Polk County where he worked as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed landscaping and fishing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Sonny Deems and by three sisters: Patricia Burnley, Betty Brinkley and Judy Sisson.

Survivors include a sister Angela Chapman; two half sisters: Ashley Williams and Jessica Hope Deems; four brothers: Jerry, Billy, Paul and Tony Deems; three half brothers: Justin, Jason and Travis Deems; Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 28, 2022 at 5:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Jerry Deems and Mark Deems officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 3:00 pm until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
