Obituary

Mr. Robert David Martin, Sr., age 70, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 13, 2026.

Robert was born on February 3, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late William Delvous Martin and the late Elizabeth Louetta Peterson Martin. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose life was marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life.

Robert dedicated more than 40 years of his career to Print Pack Corporation before retiring in 2020. He was known for his strong work ethic and the commitment he showed throughout his many years of service. Outside of work, Robert enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially deer hunting, a pastime he loved and one that reflected his lifelong connection to providing for and caring for his family.

He was also an avid Atlanta Braves fan and loved baseball. Whether watching a game, talking about the Braves, or sharing in the excitement of the season, baseball brought him great joy and created many cherished memories with those who loved him.

Above all, Robert loved his family. He was proud of his sons and grandchildren, and he held a special place in the hearts of his siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. His presence, stories, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Robert is survived by his two sons, David Martin, Jr. and Brent Martin; his grandchildren, Maddex Martin, Makenna Martin, and Asher Martin; his sister, Liddy Martin Causey (Patrick); his brother, Tommy Martin; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, Robert will be cremated, and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

Robert’s family will remember him with love and gratitude for the life he lived, the family he helped build, and the memories he leaves behind.

Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to serve the family of Mr. Robert David Martin, Sr.
