Roger Alan Cordle

Mr. Roger Alan Cordle, age 46, of 266 Wimberly Hill Loop, Cedartown passed away suddenly Friday, October 31, 2008.


He was born in Atlanta, GA on August 24, 1962 a son of Jimmy L. Cordle and Patricia A. Williams Cordle. Roger had lived the greater part of his life in Polk County , was a 1980 graduate of Rockmart High School and was of the Baptist faith. He worked for 23 years as a Journeyman Electrician through IBEW Local 613.


Survivors include a daughter, Christena Culvey, Rome; a son, Joseph Sexton, Rome; parents: Jimmy and Patricia Cordle, Aragon; brother, Tim Cordle, Cumming; sisters: Pam C. Johnson, Aragon and Melissa A. Lewis, Rockmart; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.


Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Hooper officiating and a eulogy will be given by his brother Tim Cordle. Interment will follow in the Aragon Cemetery.


Pallbearers will include: Jack Lewis, Tim Cordle, Joseph Sexton, Zachary Lewis and Benjamin Lewis.


The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
