Sammy G. Sisson

Mr. Sammy G. Sisson 64. of Silver Creek, GA passed away on Wednesday February 4, 2015.

He was born August 28,1950 in Rome, GA a son of the late Arrie and Icey Davenport Sisson. Mr. Sisson had lived all of his life in Floyd county where he was a member of the Damascus Baptist Church. He loved to work with his hands and had worked as a diesel mechanic for many years. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Samuel Sisson Raymond in 2006.

He is survived by his wife Judy Sisson of Silver Creek; four children: Sammy Scott Sisson of Silver Creek, Stephanie Hoovler of Acra, New York, Tracy Raymond of Rome and Stephen Sisson of Silver Creek, seven grandchildren ; one great grandson. ; sisters: Gayle Middleton and Joan Pilgrim of Cedartown; brother, Olen Sisson, Cedartown and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Revs. Jeff Pilgrim and Jerry Deems officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 noon until the funeral hour at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.
