Sandra Chambers Hurt

Sandra Chambers Hurt, age 74, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, at her residence. 

Sandra was born on September 16, 1950, daughter of the late William George Chambers, Sr., and Louise Tilly Chambers. She had lived for a period of time in Carrollton, GA, and spent most of her life in Rockmart. Sandra was a Registered Nurse with Tanner Medical group in Carrollton and Fresenius Kidney Care. She was a collector of antiques, especially vintage glass and jewelry, and enjoyed reading and collecting books. Sandra was very artistic and enjoyed making crafts.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by a brother, Chip Chambers.

Sandra is survived by a daughter, Cassie (Greg) McAlister; son, Mitch (Annie Craig) Hurt; four grandchildren, Shannon (Isaac) Queen, Chase (Lauren) Pinion, Brandon (Hadley) McAlister, and Christina McAlister; seven great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Taylor, Dexter Taylor, Rex Taylor, Amelia Pinion, Finley Kate McAlister, Luke Pinion, and Eason McAlister; sister-in-law, Carla Chambers.

Celebration of life services for Sandra will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 12 noon at the residence of her daughter Cassie, 294 Cantrell Road, Rockmart, GA 30153. Inurnment will follow at 3:00 pm at Rose Hill Cemetery.
