Sarah E. Johnson

Mrs. Sarah E. Johnson, age 95, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Wednesday evening, August 6, 2025.

Mrs. Johnson was born on January 1, 1930, in Dallas, Georgia, the daughter of the late Pete Tomlin and Jewell Crumpton Johnson. She spent part of her life in Greenville, SC, before returning to Rockmart, where she made her home.

A devoted housewife and homemaker, Mrs. Johnson found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved sewing, was a passionate collector of dolls, and had a deep affection for animals. Her kind spirit and warm heart endeared her to all who knew her. She was deeply loved by her family and will be fondly remembered.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Johnson, two sisters, Jean Lee and Betty Tomlin, and three brothers, Bobby Tomlin, Buddy Tomlin, and Arlin Tomlin.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sisters, Geraldine Clark and Evelyn Webber. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside and interment services for Mrs. Johnson will be held on Sunday afternoon, August 10, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.
