Sheila Free West

Mrs. Sheila Free West, age 59, of Rockmart passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 in a Rome medical center.

Sheila was born in Cartersville, GA on January 6, 1953 a daughter of Harvey Free, Sr. and Willie Bell Brewer Free. She had lived in Rockmart the greater part of her life , was a 1972 graduate of Rockmart High School and was a member of the Floyd Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jackie West and three sisters: Jeanell Thomas, Mildred Tilley and Betty Mae Moore.

Survivors include a son, Lebron West, Rockmart; a brother, Harvey Free, Jr., Cartersville and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens.


Pallbearers will include: Crowder Free, Gerald Free, Dewayne McCreary, Chad Pennington, Jason Gentry and Henry Homes.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
