Shirley Ann Williamson

Mrs. Shirley Ann Williamson, age 78, of Aragon, GA, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, in Rome, GA.

Mrs. Williamson was born in Aragon on April 6, 1945, a daughter of the late Robert Fulton Goss and Jewell Virginia Byrd Goss. She graduated from Rockmart High School and lived for a period of time in Florida. Mrs. Williamson had worked for several years at Petro’s Pizza in Cedartown and in her later years was a housewife and homemaker. She loved to read books and could be known to read a book a day and would visit Walmart once a month.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon McCarson, two brothers, Billy Goss and Ray Goss, and a sister, Dolly Wigley.

Mrs. Williamson is survived by her husband, Dell Eugene Williamson; daughters, Carolyn Byrd and Michelle McCarson both of Cartersville, GA; two brothers, Ricky Goss and Jack Goss. Two step-daughters, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Williamson will be cremated, and no formal services are planned at this time.
