Shirley J. White

Mrs. Shirley J. White, age 75, of Cedartown, GA passed away Friday, March 2, 2012 in a Rome Nursing Center following an illness of several months.

She was born in Polk County, GA on July 12, 1936 a daughter of the late Clarence E. Jackson and Beatrice Kerr Jackson. She had lived in Polk County the greater part of her life and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cedartown. Mrs. White attended North Georgia Business College and was a former sales representative with World Book Encyclopedia. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bob J. White, by a daughter, Wanda Wise and by a sister, Patti Flynt.


Survivors include a son, Rodney Wise and his wife Cathie of Rome; a brother, Jimmy Lee Jackson, Cedartown and by three grandchildren: Rachel and Jae Wise and Chip Shaw all of Rome.

Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Northview Cemetery, Cedartown with Rev. Owen Davis, Jr. officiating.

The family has requested that flowers please be omitted.
