Sonia Lagene Edwards

Mrs. Sonia Lagene Edwards, age 58, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018 in a Rome medical center following a very brief illness.

She was born in Rockmart, GA on March 10, 1959 a daughter of Barron William Jackson and Mary Jane Channell Jackson. Lagene had lived all of her life in Rockmart, attended Rockmart High School, was a homemaker and enjoyed life.

She was preceded in death by her father Barron William Jackson.

Survivors include her husband, Rembert Eugene Edwards of Rockmart to whom she was married in 1980; son, Cody Edwards, Rockmart; mother, Mary Jane Jackson, Rockmart; brother, Barry Jackson, Rome; two nieces and six great nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, Lagene was cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
