Sue Yarbrough

Mrs. Sue Yarbrough, age 89, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025.

Mrs. Yarbrough was born in Rockmart on August 26, 1936, to the late Teddy Mac Morgan and the late Elizabeth Morgan. Sue lived her entire life in Rockmart and was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church for more than 65 years. During her years at the church, she lovingly served in the nursery, caring for many children. Sue enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and cross-stitching. She also loved working in her flower garden, especially her African Violets, and watching Atlanta Braves Baseball.

In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Preston Yarbrough; her daughter, Terrie Yarbrough; her son, Tim Yarbrough; and her brother, Tyrus Morgan.

Sue is survived by her son, Teddy Yarbrough and his wife Nanna; daughter-in-law, Tracy Yarbrough; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Yarbrough will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Robinson and Rev. Josh Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will include Teddy Yarbrough, Floyd Barber, James Atkins, Steve Hendrix, Craig Summers, and Brent Edwards. Jeremy Walls and Ryan Nichelson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
