Sylvia Diane Byrom

Sylvia Diane Byrom, age 74, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Monday afternoon, March 17, 2025.

Sylvia was born in Marietta, GA, on January 23, 1951, daughter of the late S.W. Williams and Mary Louise Gibson Williams. She had an Associate’s Degree in accounting from Chattahoochee Technical College. Prior to retirement in 2011, Sylvia had worked at Sam’s Club in the bakery for a number of years. She loved all things pertaining to gardening, enjoyed watching her soap operas (especially Days of Our Lives), and was an accomplished poetry writer.

In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by a sister, Nora Jackson.

Sylvia is survived by three children, Ron Setser, Patricia (Dennis) Ash, and Samaria (Joseph) Hulsey; eight grandchildren, Johnathan Yaun, Austin Nichols, Jordan Nichols, Preston Hulsey, Daniel Hulsey, Dennis Ash, Kaitlyn Ash, and William Ash; brother, Howard (Karen) Williams; sisters, Sandra (Steve) Oesterreicher and Rebecca Hodgins. Eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with her wishes, Sylvia will be cremated, and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Yorkville Baptist Church, 6273 Highway 101, Rockmart, GA, 30153.
