Mrs. Tammy Lynn Bailey, age 55, of Temple, GA, passed away surrounded by her loving family Saturday morning, March 21, 2026.

Tammy was born in Marietta, Georgia, on November 10, 1970, the daughter of the late Alvie Marion Brinkley and Martha Alice Pearce Brinkley. She was a faithful member of Holly Springs Baptist Church, where she served alongside her husband, Pastor Bailey. Tammy earned her degree as a Medical Assistant and also worked as a Pharmacy Technician. She had a true servant’s heart, volunteering as a foster mother and never turning away any child in need. Tammy was active in missionary work, living in Belize between the years 2003 until 2007. She was lovingly known by many as the “Energizer Bunny” for her tireless spirit and ability to just keep going, even during difficult times. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, and found great joy in giving gifts to others, as gift giving was her love language. She loved serving her Savior in ways that would bless others. Her greatest joy in life was being a Nana and loving on her grandbabies. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by a son, Eric Bailey, and a sister, Susan Denise Brinkley.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, James Eric Bailey; children, Lauren Nicole Buckner (Patrick James), Aubrey Bailey Corbitt (Daniel James), James Matthew Bailey (Allissa Danielle), and Ashlynn Nicole Bailey; grandchildren, Ezekiel Gideon Buckner, Hadassah Grace Buckner, Kensley Lynn Bailey, David Bryant Corbitt, James Wyatt Bailey, Michael Boone Corbitt, and Olivia Rose Bailey; brother, A.J. Brinkley (Cindy).

A Celebration of Life for Tammy will be held on Friday afternoon, March 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Billy Wood. Interment will follow in Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Tammy’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home on Thursday evening, March 26, 2026, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Matthew Bailey, Patrick Buckner, Casey Brinkley, Daniel Corbitt, Josh Grover, and Jonathan Bonner.

To celebrate her life, rather than traditional black attire the family would like to encourage spring colors as our Momma will be laid to rest in her Easter best.
