Mrs. Teresa Diane Pye, age 69, of Rome, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, February 24, 2026.

Teresa was born in Rome on December 3, 1957, daughter of the late Herschel H. Fox and Rosemary McClure Fox. She was a lifelong resident of Floyd County and a proud graduate of Model High School. Teresa worked faithfully as a tax preparer with H&R Block and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time watching television, but her greatest joy in life was caring for her beloved husband and cherishing every moment with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Junior Pye, on March 29, 2022, whom she married on May 13, 1988.

Teresa is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Robbie) Collins; grandchildren, Mason (Sarah) Ely, and Alexis Ely (Derek Rountree); great-grandchildren, Oliver Ely, Avalon Ely, Kathryn Rountree, and Wrenlee Rountree; brother, Lamar (Brenda) Fox.

A Celebration of Life for Teresa will be held on Thursday afternoon, February 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Mr. Charles Ely officiating.

Teresa’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller &Son Funeral Home Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
