Theresa Holliday Rayburn

Mrs. Theresa Holliday Rayburn, age 72, of Rockmart, GA passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025.

Theresa was born in Rockmart on July 12, 1953, to the late Harald Vance Holliday and the late Addie Bell Blalock Holliday. A lifelong resident of Aragon and Rockmart, she was a devoted member of Rockmart First Baptist Church.

Theresa spent her career as a dedicated secretary, first at Frank Statham Realty and later at Meggitt, from where she eventually retired. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—cooking, watching Hallmark movies, and shopping—but her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her beloved family and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Cory Lee Rayburn.

Theresa is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Randy Rayburn, to whom she married on March 5, 1976; daughter, Allison Smith; son, Adam (Amber) Rayburn; three grandsons, Ethan Smith, Vance Rayburn, and Maddox Rayburn; two sisters, Joan (Forrest) Brooks and Anita (Garry) Baldwin; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rayburn will be held Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 4:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Purser and Rev. Dr. Jason Odom officiating. Interment will follow in Aragon Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Adam Rayburn, Rodney Hutcheson, Clint Hutcheson, Dusty Baxter, Robert Rayburn, and Tyson Smith.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 pm until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
