Tommy Alton Crowe

Mr. Tommy Alton Crowe, age 61, of Rockmart passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at his residence.


He was born in Marietta, GA on February 12, 1951 a son of the late Elmer Crowe and Emma Lou Scoggins Crowe. Mr. Crowe had been a resident of Rockmart for the past seven years moving here from Marietta. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Crowe was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Bridwell.


Survivors include his wife, Betty Crowe of Rockmart to whom he was married on June 8, 1968; two sons: Jason Crowe, Dallas and Darrell Crowe, Rockmart; one sister, Eula Gunter, Dallas; two brothers: Larry Crowe, Rockmart and Eugene Crowe, Cartersville; four grandchildren also survive.


Funeral services will be held Friday, February 1, 2013 at 12 noon in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Dyer and Rev. Timothy Merritt officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton with military honors.

Pallbearers will include: Robbie Gunter, Joey Gunter, Steve Crowe, James Crowe, Phillip Mayes and Joel Puett.

The family will receive friends Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
