Tommy Hicks

Mr. Tommy Hicks, age 67, of Rockmart, GA passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in a Rome medical center.

He was born in Villa Rica, GA on August 11, 1952, a son of the late Hassel Daniel Hicks and the late Evelyn Thomas Hicks. Tommy had lived the greater part of his life in the Beulah Community where he was a member of the Beulahland Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, watching TV and spending time with his family. Mr. Hicks worked for J.L Lester and Son and Eby-Brown, retiring after forty years of service.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lynette Puckett Hicks; daughter, Jennifer Hicks Potter; and half-brother, Dennis Thomas.

Survivors include his son, Jeremy Hicks and his wife, Amanda, Euharlee; five grandchildren; brother, Tim Hicks and his wife Trish, Cartersville; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 1, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Cordell Tibbetts and Mr. Ricky Mooneyham officiating. Interment will follow in the Beulahland Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include: James Bowman, Johnny Hardin, Joe Henderson, Jacob Webb, Josh Hicks and Brian Hicks.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
