Travis Paul Locklear, age 64, of Temple, GA, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026.

Travis was born in Rockmart, Georgia, on April 17, 1962, the son of the late Jesse Ray Locklear and Elender Mae Bowman Locklear. He spent his entire life in Rockmart and was a good faithful Christian. Travis was a gifted and artistic musician who had a deep love for music, especially playing the guitar. He performed with Bittercreek, Them Mixon Boys, and many other musicians in the area. He enjoyed baseball, cooking, and gardening, and found great joy in these pastimes. Above all, Travis cherished the time he spent with his family, which meant the most to him.

In addition to his parents, Travis was preceded in death by two brothers, Tim Locklear and Dennis Locklear, and a sister, Linda Jones.

Travis is survived by his loving wife, Holly Hicks Locklear, whom he married April 22, 2023; four children, Cody Locklear, Kacie Locklear, Connar Locklear, and Colson Locklear (Jayden); step-daughter, Claudia Cooper-Hicks (Ashlee); brothers, Edward Locklear, Larry Locklear, and Silas Locklear. Step-grandchildren and a son-to-be grandson along with many nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with his wishes, Travis will be cremated and memorial services are incomplete at this time.
