Wanda Floyd Wilson

Mrs. Wanda Floyd Wilson, age 78, of Rockmart, GA passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025.

Wanda Floyd was born on January 23, 1947, in Centre, Alabama, to the late Vinemon Floyd and the late Mildred Baldwin Floyd. She spent the majority of her life in Polk County, where she was a member of County Line Baptist Church.

Wanda was a vibrant, loving woman who brought joy to those around her. She had a passion for reading, sewing, quilting, playing cards, working puzzles, and fishing. Above all, she treasured time with her family and found purpose in caring for others.

Her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Wilson; brothers, Danny Floyd, Miron Floyd, John Floyd, Edward Floyd, Carol Floyd, and Billy Floyd; sisters, Linda Floyd, Katherine Chambers, Helen Williams, and Doris Cradox.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Anthony) Holden; grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) King, and Anthony D. Holden; great-grandchildren, Michael Warren Judd, Taylor Sora Judd, Peyton Nicholas Judd, Eliga Arp, and Kylee Arp; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services for Mrs. Wilson will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Lester officiating.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until the memorial hour at the funeral home.
