Mr. WM David “Nik” Truett, age 67, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Saturday evening, June 20, 2026.

Nik was born on September 19, 1958, to the late RB Truett and the late Rebecca Davis Truett. A lifelong resident of Rockmart, he was a proud graduate of Rockmart High School's Class of 1976 and later retired from Engineered Fabrics after 30 years of dedicated service.

Nik was well known throughout the community and never met a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with friends, often visiting Handy Andy, Walmart, and The Pizza Farm, where he could share stories and laughter. He had a passion for Western movies and took great pride in his collection. Above all else, Nik cherished his family, and his greatest joy came from spending time with the youngest members of the family, whom he considered his babies.

In addition to his parents, Nik was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Truett.

Nik is survived by his sisters, Becky Truett, and Kathy Crider (Bobby); his nieces and nephews, Bridget, Ryan, and Kourtney; his great nieces and nephews, Jordan (Meghan), Lindsey (Dakota), Brody, Bryce, Cristina, and Emilyn; and his great-great nieces and nephews, Kinsley, James, Weston, Karson, Connor, and Oakley.

Funeral services for Nik will be held Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Brother Bobby Helms officiating. Interment will follow in the family cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, June 24th from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will include Brody Jones, Jordan Jones, Bryce Jones, Bobby Crider, Dakota Timms, Dalton Williams, and Chad Casey.
