William Michael Jay

Mr. William Michael Jay, age 46, of Aragon passed away Monday, June 6, 2011 in a Rome medical center.


He was born in Polk County, GA on June 9, 1964, a son of Jerry Jay and Frances Mauldin Jay. Mr. Jay had lived the greater part of his life in Polk County. He was a 1983 graduate of Paulding County High School and had worked as a contractor for Joe Witcher Construction. He was of the Presbyterian Faith. Mr. Jay was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Jay.


Survivors include his mother and step father, Frances and Joe Witcher, Centre, AL; father and step mother, Jerry and Shelia Jay, Dallas, GA; sister, Judy Kinney, Dallas, GA; two brothers: Barry Jay, Centre, AL and David Jay, Aragon, GA; step brother, Lee Thornton, Dallas, GA; grandmother, Deanie Mauldin, Aragon, GA; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.


In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Jay was cremated.


Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Wigley officiating.
