William "Bill" Staton

Mr. William Jackson “Bill” Staton, age 67, of Summerville, GA, passed away March 5, 2025.

Bill was born in Doraville, GA, on October 17, 1957, a son of the late Howard Carlton Staton and Betty Sue Aycock Staton. He was a member of the Harrell Street Church of God and loved reading his bible. Prior to disability, Bill worked with General Motors in Doraville for a number of years. He loved the outdoors and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy “Tim” Staton.

Bill is survived by his wife, Debra Jones Staton, whom he married on July 8, 2007; sons, Richard Brian (Andi Boyer) Staton, William (Jennifer) Staton, II, and Cody Jones; daughters, Charity Rodriguez, Sheena Jones, and Brittany (Dakota) West; sister, Beverly (Don) Smith; brother, Carly Staton. Six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with his wishes, Bill will be cremated, and no formal services are planned at this time.
